Overview
The
Communications Specialist has an opportunity to help shape how Coeur communicates across the enterprise, while supporting the development and execution of high-quality corporate communications across internal and external channels. Reporting to the
Director, Communications, this role focuses on editorial planning, content development, and channel execution to support corporate priorities including employee communications, storytelling, and targeted advertising and marketing initiatives. In doing so, this position will partner closely with Investor Relations, Human Resources, IT, Sustainability, site teams, and other functions to coordinate and translate complex information into clear, engaging, and consistent communications that reinforce Coeur’s strategy, brand, and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
Editorial Content & Owned Channels (Internal/External)
- Support the planning and execution of corporate communications across internal and external channels, including website content, brand journalism and storytelling, intranet content, and select marketing and advertising initiatives.
- Develop clear, engaging written content for a range of formats, including articles, web copy, presentations, executive materials, talking points, fact sheets, and employee communications that are accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain and contribute to editorial calendars to ensure content is timely, coordinated, and aligned with corporate priorities.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with Coeur’s brand voice and editorial standards.
Digital Channels & Website
- Support ongoing updates to Coeur’s corporate website, including content creation, editing, and coordination with stakeholders and vendors as required.
- Assist with content planning and execution for social media channels, with a primary focus on editorial quality and message alignment.
- Monitor content performance and flag opportunities to improve clarity, engagement, or reach.
Paid Campaigns & Marketing (Advertising/Employer Brand)
- Assist with campaign content development to support corporate initiatives, employer branding, and reputation-building efforts.
- Support the development of corporate advertising and marketing materials, including copywriting and coordination with designers or external agencies.
- Ensure advertising and marketing materials align with Coeur’s corporate narrative and brand guidelines.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with internal partners to gather information, clarify objectives, and translate inputs into effective communications.
- Support cross-functional communications during key initiatives, change activities, or periods of heightened communications needs.
- Coordinate reviews and approvals to ensure content meets internal standards and timelines.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in corporate communications, content development, marketing communications, or a related role.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible content.
- Strong editorial judgment and a passion for high-quality content.
- Experience supporting multiple communication channels, including internal communications, websites, and external materials.
- Familiarity with digital content platforms, content management systems, and standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft 365).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a corporate, regulated, or industrial environment.
- Ability to work with review/approval workflows and comply with disclosure and brand standards.
- Interest in mining, natural resources, or complex operating environments is an asset.
The salary range offered for this role is CAD $75,000 - $100,000 range. The salary range is a good-faith estimate. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Coeur Mining will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Coeur Mining. Coeur Mining provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Coeur Mining also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
