Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Tailings, Water & Environmental Manager, you will be part of the Tailings Management Team. You will provide critical support to the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of capital and operational projects within the Tailings, Water & Environment portfolio. You will ensure that project activities are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with cost, risk, and compliance requirements. You will act as a central link between engineering, construction, environment, finance, and project management teams to support effective project governance and decision-making. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using approved scheduling tool;
- Track progress against baseline schedules and highlight variances requiring management attention;
- Support project teams in developing look‑ahead schedules and resource-loaded plans;
- Support development of project budgets, cost estimates, and cost-loading of schedules;
- Monitor actuals vs. forecast; prepare variance reports and identify cost risks or overruns;
- Maintain cost tracking systems that align with corporate project controls standards;
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly project performance dashboards;
- Consolidate information on scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, and change management;
- Support stage‑gate reporting, project close-out documentation, and management presentations;
- Log and track project risks, issues, and mitigations;
- Maintain the project change register and support evaluation of scope changes;
- Assist project managers in implementing corrective actions for schedule or cost deviations;
- Maintain project documentation, including drawings, permits, change notices, and contractor deliverables;
- Ensure data integrity, version control, and compliance with internal project governance procedures.
What You Need To Succeed
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Project Management, Business, or related field;
- 3+ years of experience in project controls, project coordination, or equivalent industrial/mining experience;
- Experience supporting engineering, environmental, or construction projects is an asset;
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., SAP, MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent);
- Strong Excel and data analytics capabilities; experience with Power BI is an asset;
- Understanding of cost control, forecasting, and earned value principles.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 4/3 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
