Position Description
The Barrick Africa & Middle East Team is seeking to recruit a
Supply Chain Systems Manager – AME to join and grow our team. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, support, continuous improvement and execution of Barrick AME (including Pakistan) Supply Chain systems strategy, policies, and guidelines to drive shared goals and objectives across the entire supply chain. The role involves advanced practices, defining new solutions, supporting existing solutions and/or working on large/complex projects.

Responsibilities
- Provide Supply Chain subject matter expert leadership for the design, implementation and support of the systems used by Barrick’s AME Supply Chain teams.
- Lead supply chain system implementations or changes from planning, through to transition, to ongoing support.
- Ensure teams share leading practices and lessons learned, use consistent methodologies, and pursue deliverables that are in alignment with corporate strategic objectives.
- Provide point of contact for Mine Site Management teams for supply chain system issues.
- Super User coordination: Identify, properly train, and proactively address gaps and/or vacancies in the Super User network.
- Manage administration of assigned systems and ensure that required support mechanisms are in place.
- Develop system training material, documentation and test scripts.
- Ensure that the Supply Chain training framework is in place for staff. Ensure training materials are kept up to date and readily available. Identify training needs, build and execute training plans.
- Ensure that requirements for reporting, analytics and KPIs are captured and that end users are aware of and using built capability.
- Provide onsite support, training as required.
- Interact with third party systems support groups to ensure system issues are correctly prioritized and managed through to completion and resolution.
- Liaise with non-SC functions for solution development and support of cross-functional processes.
- Identify enhancement opportunities for review by Barrick’s Supply Chain Leadership.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, information science or similar.
- Formal qualifications and certifications in supply chain management or an associated discipline desirable.
Experience And Skills Requirements
- 10 years of supply chain management experience, ideally in system and business process design, implementation and support.
- SAP experience at the functional administrator and technical level (S4 HANA preferred).
- Enterprise reporting and data warehouse system experience (SAP BW and Power BI preferred).
- Proven ability to work with business teams to design and implement systems from design through to ongoing support at contributor level.
- Experience in system requirements gathering, configuration, testing, implementation and support.
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving and solution generation and analysis.
- Complex analytical skills (Advanced MS Excel and SQL essential).
- Working knowledge of supply chain data structures and categorization.
- Ability to understand functional and technical requirements and articulate to different levels of the organization.
- Able to work independently and in cross-functional and technical teams within a geographically dispersed centrally managed organization.
- Supply Chain, Maintenance and Finance integrated process experience.
- A strong drive to learn and continually improve knowledge and identify new opportunities.
- Knowledge of system, process and data integrations using APIs, middleware, XML/JSON and cloud solutions would also be valuable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels of the organization is essential.
