Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be a part of the Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for the safe and proper washing of mining equipment at the Macassa Mine. This role ensures that all maintenance and safety procedures are consistently followed, supports the achievement of departmental goals and objectives, and promotes Agnico Eagle’s core values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.
- Ensuring the safety of the team by applying a zero-harm approach to all tasks performed;
- Washing mining equipment and components as required;
- Ensure wash bay is clean and organized to promote a safe and efficient work area;
- Performing routine and daily inspections on wash bay equipment such as pressure washer and soap dispensing equipment;
- Maintain Inventory of wash bay consumables such as degreasing soaps. Assisting in other maintenance practices and procedures.
What You Need To Succeed
- Must be 18 years of age or older;
- Valid Driver’s License;
- Proven commitment to health, safety and the environment;
- Mechanically inclined with the aptitude and willingness to learn;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Physically fit with the ability/capability of lifting 50 pounds;
- Ability to work schedules on day/night rotation;
- Good communication, both verbal and written;
- Team player and self-motivator.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 7/7; 10-hour shift schedule, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
