To further understanding of ore deposit genesis which will in turn improve exploration models.
Disclaimer - this role is not open to any third-party providers and any application received from a third-party will be considered as a direct application. You will have the following:- Bachelor's degree in Geology/Mining Geology/ Exploration Geology
- Post Graduate degree in Geology- Masters as a minimum
- Driver's License
- 3 years experience in exploration geology
- Exposure to the Copper belt geology
- Fluency in English
- Data analysis and statistical skills
- Advanced computer and technical writing skills. Employee shall be proficient in the following applications; MS Word, MS excel, MS PowerPoint
- Have working knowledge of ArcGIS, Leapfrog and ioGAS
- Employee shall be required to become proficient in the following applications within the first year of employment: use of hand-held GPS systems.
You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
Process:
Provide improved geological understanding of ore deposits for the improvement of exploration models
- To collect, record, and interpret geologic data to further understand the ore deposit genesis
- To identify analytical techniques required to answer key questions about ore deposit genesis (isotope analysis, mineral chemistry, hyperspectral data, etc)
- to engage with contractors (drillers, geophysicists, engineering) to accomplish exploration goals and maintain QA/QC
- To supervise geo technicians and core technicians
- To engage with the full geology team to integrate all knowledge into geological ore models
- Accurately input sampling data into database for mapping

Rotation for the role is a 6:3 (6 weeks on site, 3 weeks off)
