Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead and direct the mining services and ore transportation groups including the following departments: Energy and Infrastructure, Process Plant, Mobile Maintenance, and Planning and Reliability. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Oversee mining services and ore transportation departments to ensure good execution of activities in line with the Mine Plan and with the Budget;
- Establish communication routine with responsible department Superintendents and General Manager;
- Maintain relationships and communication channels with corporate technical advisors and directors;
- Participate in Collaboration Committee (CCM) meetings and support different initiatives through various steering committees;
- Support the General Manager in creating, updating and communicating the various division reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, GM presentations, etc.);
- Actively participate in establishing and following the division's yearly objectives and strategic planning;
- Elaborate and execute the strategic plans associated with the direct report portfolio including but not limited to:
- Supporting maintenance strategies for mobile and fix assets;
- Developing strategic plans for site general services;
- Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships;
- Strategic planning of site capital expenditures;
- Supporting strategic construction project portfolio;
- Supporting SOX compliance at the operation;
- Strategic business improvement projects (technology adoption, continuous improvement);
- Contractor management and procurement support .
- Closure studies and progressive reclamation efforts;
- Supporting technical studies to derisk and enhance cost structure;
- Develop and mentor direct reports, as well as ensuring development of the workers within responsible departments (IDP, LDP, etc.);
- Actively participate in the Mine Planning and Budget exercises;
- Actively follow production and financial metrics to ensure compliance and business efficiency;
- Act as a role model and ambassador embodying the values of the company and fostering engagement from the work teams.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent;
- More than 10 years of mining related experience with 5 years of management experience;
- Maintenance, mining and milling experience;
- Strong exposure to maintenance, services and operations;
- Experience with budgeting and mine planning exercises;
- Exposure to arctic conditions is considered an asset;
- Exposure to process plants, underground and open pit mining and remote operation is considered an asset.

Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
