Role Overview
As a Water & Wastewater Facility Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of potable water and wastewater treatment facilities for the Lynn Lake Gold Project. You will ensure regulatory compliance while supporting safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance: Operate, inspect, and maintain water and wastewater collection, treatment, and distribution systems, including minor equipment servicing.
Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor process parameters, analyze results, and adjust systems to meet drinking water and wastewater effluent standards.
Sampling & Testing: Conduct water sampling, perform laboratory testing, interpret results, and maintain accurate records for regulatory reporting.
Health & Safety: Safely handle water treatment chemicals (including caustic and acidic substances) and adhere to WHMIS and safety regulations.
Equipment & Systems: Inspect ancillary systems (e.g., lift stations, hoses), interpret technical manuals and blueprints, and support maintenance activities.
General Site Support: Perform housekeeping, janitorial, and general maintenance duties and respond to after-hours callouts as required.
What You Bring To The Table
- Manitoba Water and Wastewater Facility Operator Certification with:
- Class 2 Water Treatment
- Class 1 Water Distribution
- Class 1 Wastewater Collection
- Class 3 Wastewater Treatment
- Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and regulatory requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance (electrical, plumbing, or millwright skills considered an asset)
- Experience with laboratory testing and data interpretation in water or wastewater environments
- Proficiency with computer systems (Microsoft Office and monitoring systems)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence

Working Conditions
- Full-time rotational schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (12-hour shifts)
- Site-based role in Lynn Lake, Manitoba
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and inclement weather conditions
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks safely and effectively

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
