Job Purpose
To ensure safe and reliable operation of plant electrical systems by leading and performing effective electrical maintenance activities, supporting continuous production, and guiding technicians during maintenance execution.
Key Accountabilities
• Lead and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
• Diagnose complex electrical faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify recurring issues, and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Support and oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintenance procedures, permit requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, work reports, and shift handover information.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to plan work effectively and support uninterrupted production.
• Guide, coach, and support junior technicians during maintenance activities and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant technical certification in industrial electrical maintenance or electrical systems is preferred.
• Relevant safety certification related to electrical work and isolation procedures is preferred.
Minimum Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical equipment and systems.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Experience in coordinating maintenance activities and supporting junior technicians is preferred.
• Experience in a rolling mill, metals, or heavy industrial environment is preferred.
