Kirkstone Metals Appoints Clee Roy as Government & Strategic Funding Consultant

(via TheNewswire)

December 15TH, 2025 – TheNewswire - Vancouver, BC, Canada – Kirkstone Metals Corp. (the “Company” or “Kirkstone”) (TSXV: KSM, FWB: VO0) is pleased to announce the engagement of Clee Roy as the Company’s Government & Strategic Funding Consultant, effective immediately.

Mr. Roy will work closely with Kirkstone’s management team to identify, evaluate, apply for, and manage government and non-government funding opportunities available at the provincial, federal, and agency level. His mandate includes overseeing the entire funding lifecycle, from opportunity assessment and application preparation through compliance, reporting, and post-award administration, in support of advancing Kirkstone’s mineral exploration and development initiatives.

Scope of Engagement

Under this engagement, Mr. Roy will:

  • Identify applicable grant, contribution, and low-interest loan programs relevant to exploration-stage mineral companies

  • Assist with application strategy, preparation, and submission

  • Coordinate engagement with government agencies and program administrators

  • Manage awarded funding through compliance, reporting, and milestone tracking

  • Support initiatives related to critical minerals, clean energy, innovation, environmental studies, and community partnerships

Relevant Public Funding Environment

Kirkstone’s appointment of a dedicated government-funding specialist reflects the significant capital commitments publicly announced by Canadian governments to support the critical minerals and clean-energy supply chain.

Among the most relevant programs and commitments:

  • Canada’s Critical Minerals Strategy (Natural Resources Canada) has committed up to CAD $3.8 billion in federal funding to support critical-mineral exploration, processing, and supply-chain development, including uranium as a foundational clean-energy input.

  • Budget 2023 and Budget 2024 reaffirmed expanded funding for mineral exploration tax credits, clean-energy infrastructure, and strategic innovation programs, including support administered through Natural Resources Canada, PrairiesCan, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), and regional development agencies

  • The Government of Saskatchewan has publicly committed to supporting uranium exploration and development through regulatory alignment, infrastructure investment, and participation in federal-provincial funding programs, recognizing Saskatchewan’s role as a global uranium leader.³

Management believes these initiatives create meaningful opportunities for exploration-stage companies to reduce dilution, extend exploration runways, and accelerate project advancement through non-dilutive capital sources.

CEO Commentary

Clive Massey, President and CEO of Kirkstone, commented:

“We are very pleased to welcome Clee Roy as our Government & Strategic Funding Consultant. His wealth of experience navigating provincial and federal funding programs is highly complementary to Kirkstone’s growth strategy.
