Discrete Gold in Soil Anomalies Identified from Shallow Soil Geochemical Survey Coincident with Crustal-Scale Faults on Horwood Project

(via TheNewswire)

Vancouver, British Columbia – TheNewswire - 2 March , 2026 – Avventura Resources Ltd. (CSE:AA) (Avventura or the Company) is pleased to provide an update on the initial results from the completed shallow soil geochemical survey program over the Horwood Property in northern Ontario.

Highlights

  • Seven discrete anomalous gold zones were identified during a targeting soil sampling program on the Horwood Property

  • Highest soil sample contained 210 parts per billion (ppb) gold (Au) in an area without any known gold occurrences

  • A 3-km zone of weak gold anomalism identified between the Denross and Horwood Lake showings

  • Grab samples 750 m from the historical Denross showing contained gold grades up to 62.0 g/t Au

  • 1,361 samples were collected and analyzed on the areas considered the most prospective for gold mineralization

Avventura CEO, Sean Flynn, commented, “We are encouraged by the results of our recent shallow soil sampling programs at the Horwood Property. The identification of seven discrete gold-in-soil anomaly areas, and a high-grade grab sample near to a historical showing, provides a solid foundation for follow-up exploration and target development.”

“While the property remains at the early stage, these results are helping us better define areas of interest and prioritize our next phase of work. Management believes the combination of regional-scale structures and newly identified anomalies supports continued exploration on the property as we advance Horwood through systematic technical programs.”

Shallow Soil Sampling

The Company has completed a comprehensive 1,361 sample, modern shallow soil campaign over two zones totaling 15.23 sq. km of the 94.6 sq. km Horwood Property (Figure 1), and it is pleased to report on the results of this work.  The Horwood Property is located within the northeastern part of the Swayze Greenstone Belt and is located on a northeast-trending fault zone termed the Hardiman Deformation Zone, which is interpreted as a splay fault to the Destor-Porcupine Deformation Zone.  The Hardiman Deformation Zone and associated splay faults are important to the formation of gold mineralization in the area, including sixteen (16) gold showings previously reported by the Ontario Mineral Deposit Inventory (MDI).  The Horwood Property is underlain by Archean mafic volcanic flows, and is cut by a complex suite of intrusive rocks, including gabbroic sills and stocks, the granodioritic Horwood Peninsular Pluton, and numerous small quartz diorite and quartz-porphyry intrusions.  Previous exploration work concentrated on outcrop mapping and prospecting, ground geophysics and follow-up drilling (122 drill holes for a 15,545 m)

Shallow Soil Results

The results of the survey were plotted using appropriate ranges to reflect anomalism (< 2 ppb (number (n) = 922), 2-5 ppb (n = 351), 5-9 ppb (59), 9-46 ppb (24), 46-210 ppb (5)) and illustrated on Figure 1.  Generally, the anomalies are subtle, with samples greater than 9 ppb Au considered highly anomalous in the dataset, and typically reflect the presence of gold mineralization in the area.  The three highest samples contained greater than 100 ppb Au (104, 182 and 210 ppb Au).  The survey identified seven areas of anomalism, with four areas in the northern block, and three areas in the south.  The anomalous areas were related to later felsic or mafic intrusions cutting the mafic volcanic rocks, or small splay faults in the Hardiman Deformation Zone.

Grab Sample Results

Three grab samples were collected from outcrops between the historical Denross and Labbe #3 showings (Figure 1).  The samples contained 0.25, 0.56, and 62.00 g/t Au.  The 62.00 g/t Au sample, while considered highly anomalous, indicates that high-grades gold mineralization is present on the property.  Previous sampling at Denross as part of the NI 43-101 site visited reported grab samples up to 6.01 g/t Au.  The 62.00 g/t Au sample is located 750 m from the Denross showing and 300 m from Labbe #3. Two outcrop samples of sulphide-rich metabasalt collected in the south of the property contained background gold concentrations (2 and 10 ppb). Assays for the remaining 173 samples collected in the fall field program are pending and will be reported as soon as the results are returned from the laboratory.

Technical Details

A total of 1,361 shallow soil samples were collected over an area of 94.6 sq. km considered to be the most prospective for gold mineralization at Horwood.  The sampling grid was oriented north-south with a line spacing of 200 m and a sample spacing of 100 m.  Several tighter grids of 50 m x 50 m spacing were also performed.  Additionally, 178 grab samples from outcrops on the property were also collected.  Samples were collected following industry best practices under the supervision of Percy Clark, P.Geo. (Clark Exploration Consulting Limited, Thunder Bay, ON) and an appropriate number and type of certified reference materials (standards) and blanks were inserted to ensure an effective QAQC program was carried out.  The samples were prepared (dried, sieved, and split) and analysed at AGAT (Thunder Bay) for gold and multi-element analysis.  The limit of detection for the gold assay method employed was 1 ppb Au.
