The miners should have stayed in bed
Base and precious metals are taking down the TSX.
As of 10:30 a.m. EST the S&P TSX is down 0.86% to 12,029 and the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index is off 0.84% to 1,276.06.
The S&P/TSX Global Gold Index is off 1.83% to 320.46 and the S&P/TSX Global Base Metals Index (USD) is down 1.46% to 131.54.
Base and precious metals are all trading down. Gold is off 0.11% to $1,722.90/oz. Silver has lost 0.206% to $32.42 and copper has fell 0.373% to $3.47.
Crude oil is up 0.28% to $85.62.
