Alight Mining Solutions Team Revives SME Northern California Section

SAN FRANCISCO – AUGUST 23, 2016 – Alight Mining Solutions recognizes team member, Kevin Moran, for his work in reviving the Northern California Section of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration.

Along with support from Jacob Gallagher and Bill Warfield, Kevin brought together twenty-five members of the mining community in Vacaville, California on Thursday August 18 to elect new officers for the recently-revitalized Section.

The event brought together members from across Northern California to discuss important topics like the viability of the section, location and ideas for future events. It was a great starting point for what promises to be a growing section.

At the event a new Section Executive Officer Team was elected. They are as follows:

Chairperson: Kevin Moran

Vice Chairperson: Jon Fox

Treasurer: Andrew Sass

Executive Member: Alan Driscoll

Executive Member: Andrew Finney

Previous Chairperson: Bill Warfield
