Atlas Copco Secoroc introduces the new T-WiZ 60 drilling system with up to 30 percent longer service life
July 7, 2014 – COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – Atlas Copco has completed the T-WiZ range with the all new T-WiZ 60 for bench and production drilling. The new drill string, with its combination of T-WiZ Speedrods and T-WiZ shank adapters, offers up to 30 percent longer service life providing fewer rod changes and more productivity per shift.
Available in sizes from 3.6 to 6 inches, the T-WiZ 60 rounds out the four dimensions of the T-Wiz range, which also includes the T-WiZ 38, T-WiZ 45 and T-WiZ 51 Speedrods and shank adapters designed for extension or drifting drill strings. Atlas Copco Secoroc’s comprehensive range of top hammer bits matches the T-WiZ drilling rods with the added benefit of being easier to release and change.
Wear out before breakage
The greater thread stability of the new T-WiZ is robust enough to prevent product breakage in the blasthole. This reduces time-consuming rod and shank changes and allows drillers to maintain a lower consumable inventory.
Trumps the competition
With easier handling and uncoupling, the T-WiZ drills more holes per shift for quicker blasting and a more rapid advance. The lower labor costs, minimized stock and fewer rods and shanks in circulation of the T-WiZ help drillers stay on top of their projects.
