MAC Business Development Team appoints new Director

MAC Consulting, the Johannesburg-based management consulting group, has appointed Nivan Moodley as a director in its Business Development team. Nivan is set to grow MAC’s business in the oil, gas & chemicals and mining sectors in South Africa, and across Africa.

“Nivan’s primary focus will be on engaging leadership of large capital energy and resources companies to develop improvement initiatives that are practical and sustainable,” says Les Wood, Director business development. “He will also provide strategic leadership on implementation of these solutions.”

Nivan has more than 11 years of management consulting experience providing strategic, transformation and operational improvement advice to energy, oil & gas and mining clients across Africa as well as South East Asia.

He previously worked for MAC from 2002 to 2004, before joining Deloitte Consulting (South Africa and South East Asia) as an oil, gas and mining management consultant, where he spent most of his tenure. His most recent role at Deloitte, was that of Associate Director energy and resources.

He has a BSc in chemistry and physics from the University of KZN, a UNISA diploma in Mathematical Modelling of Derivatives and a higher diploma in project management from Damelin. Nivan has presented at several mining and energy conferences both in South Africa and South East Asia.
