Manie Dreyer joins Spencer Stuart’s Houston office
Houston, January 6, 2017 — Spencer Stuart, one of the world’s leading executive search and leadership advisory firms, is pleased to announce that Manie Dreyer has joined the Houston office as a consultant in the Industrial Practice. An experienced CEO and industry operating executive, Dreyer has worked for more than two decades in the metals and mining industry across Africa, Europe, Asia, South America and the U.S.
Spencer Stuart’s global Industrial Practice conducts hundreds of searches annually, supporting businesses ranging from the world’s largest industrial conglomerates to smaller founder-led and investor-backed enterprises.
Dreyer joins Spencer Stuart from Louisville-based Bowie Resources, where he was CEO of the $800 million mining and trading operation. Previously, he spent 20 years at international mining company BHP Billiton, where he worked across a number of commodities and in key functional roles such as engineering, sales, marketing, logistics and business development prior to having full P&L management. Although Dreyer has a great deal of experience in metals and mining, Spencer Stuart will look to the South Africa native to help clients in the global engineering and construction fields among other relevant industrial segments.
During his career, Dreyer has lived and worked in the United States, South Africa and Singapore. He has a degree in engineering from the University of Johannesburg and a MBA from the University of South Africa, and he speaks fluent Afrikaans and English. He previously served as director of the U.S. National Mining Association and director of the World Coal Association.
