Public comment sought on safety of autonomous mining in WA
Resources Safety is asking for industry feedback on a draft code of practice and guideline for safe mobile autonomous mining systems in Western Australia.
The code of practice has been designed to assist those with functions and responsibilities for planning, designing, implementing and maintaining mobile autonomous mining systems. The code may also be useful for those who need to understand the hazards associated with mobile autonomous mining systems.
The guideline has been designed for anyone planning to introduce mobile autonomous mining systems on mining operations in Western Australia.
Submissions close 12 noon, Friday 22 August.
