Tungsten is a strategic metal
While high metal prices for most industrial metal can spell long-term trouble, tungsten is one of the few metals with no good replacements.
CPM Group’s study of tungsten says that there is robust supply with China contributing over 85% of world demand, but “. . . over the longer term, tungsten’s unique physical properties and lack of viable substitutes should support demand and prices.”
Carbine Tungsten Limited (ASX:CNQ) aims to become Australia’s significant tungsten producer.
The company is focussed on its Mt Carbine Project in far north Queensland.
