Ukraine’s Jan-Feb steel output falls 0.6 pct — union
KIEV Ukraine’s steel production totalled 3.53 million tonnes in the first two months of this year, around 0.6 percent lower than a year ago, steelmakers’ union Ukrmetallurgprom said. Steel is one of Ukraine’s biggest exports. Data from the union showed pig iron output fell by 7% to 3.36 million tonnes in January-February, while rolled steel production dropped by 0.4% to 3.09 million tonnes.
