Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) and Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co (China) signed a memorandum of intent and mutual cooperation.

MMK Group has developed its first programme-controlled robot capable of executing the functions of an employee working on a computer.

OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works has received certification as a producer of flat rolled products of special grades used in shipbuilding by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. New steel grades produced at MMK’s Mill 5000 will be used to build and fit out floating drilling vessels and marine stationary platforms, as well as seagoing vessels.
