Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employees for the position of Investigator to join the versatile Lumwana security investigations Team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the investigation’s Coordinator, you will be responsible for recording and investigating company-related activities where breaches of Company procedures and code of conduct are suspected.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Investigation of incidents and occurrences as directed by the companies Investigation Superintendent or Security Manager.
- Ensure positive and effective implementation of Barrick Security policies and procedures inclusive of the company’s commitment to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
- Attending scenes of breaches of company procedure and code of conduct.
- Preparation and presentation of dockets and enquiry files for the Zambian Police Service as directed by the Investigation Superintendent.
- Carry out end-to-end investigations by ensuring that all prescribed investigative / operating methodologies for the various types of investigations are adhered to and by conducting proper planning on high-level investigations.
- Obtain all relevant evidence related to an investigation. Scrutinize / analyze the evidence and make meaningful observations / conclusions regarding the findings and make appropriate recommendations
- Make meaningful recommendations as per the type of investigation. This will include, but not limited to, system / people / process failures or internal and external threats.
- Assist line management / HR with relevant findings / documentation for use in disciplinary processes
- Civil and Criminal Court attendance in relation to enquiries and investigations undertaken on behalf of the company
- Loading all statements, documentation, exhibits and photographs on to the Online programs (MIG registers and PPM 2000).
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- Diploma in security related qualifications.
- Experience in mining environment (would be an added advantage)
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in security and investigations
- Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.
- Must have a Zambian driver’s license (Manual transmission).
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English
