Position Description
Loulo Gold Mine are seeking to recruit Auto Electricians to join and grow our team. The Auto Electrician will be responsible to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the production equipment making them safe to operate, maximizing availability and machine reliability.

Responsibilities
- Comply with Barrick’s established health and safety policies, procedures, practices and Occupational Health and Safety Acts.
- Visibly practice safety leadership through leading by example.
- Actively ensure a safe environment for yourself, your peers and local communities through regular communication and due diligence.
- Promptly report and correct unsafe acts and conditions.
- Actively ensure that fatal risks are understood and critical controls are maintained.
- Perform inspections in accordance with mine standards and OEM specifications.
- Conduct proper troubleshooting before conducting any repair.
- Inspect equipment for proper performance and determine faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems according to the scope of work.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance.
- Complete accurate time records, technical reports, failure reports, and parts lists as per the daily maintenance tasks.
- Provide feedback to the Maintenance Foreman to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation.
- Provide assistance in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and engineering machine improvements.
- Work as directed to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
- Ensure that all activities comply with policies, guidelines, regulatory requirements and meet objectives as per the OEM and Barrick maintenance strategy.
- Ensure that inspections are carried out on all equipment before use.
- Ensure that all repaired equipment is in a safe operating state as per OEM specification before going back into service.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are serviced and safe.
- Take responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills.
- Ensure any electrical by-pass that is required to move disabled mobile equipment, must be documented and repaired to OEM specification before going back into service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Foreman.
- Train, develop and improve skills of national workforce.
Qualification Requirements
- Relevant Auto Electrical Diploma or Trade Certificate.
Experience And Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician in an underground environment.
- 5 years’ experience with remote control systems.
- Ability to read and understand drawings.
- Perform work associated with diagnostic, maintenance and repair of all types of heavy machinery and special equipment and components.
- Deep knowledge on Sandvik equipment (TH663i, LH621i, DD421, DL432i, DL421, DU411), Getman, Maclean, Normet, Cat, Volvo etc.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Sound understanding of underground mobile fleet equipment.
- Good communication skills.

About The Team
The Loulo-Gounkoto complex comprises two distinct mining permits, Loulo and Gounkoto, and is situated in western Mali, bordering Senegal and adjacent to the Falémé River.
Société des Mines de Loulo SA (Loulo) owns the Loulo gold mine, and Société des Mines de Gounkoto (Gounkoto) owns the Gounkoto gold mine. Both Loulo and Gounkoto are owned by Barrick (80%), and the State of Mali (20%).
