Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Supervisor, Business Intelligence, you will be part of the Information Technology Department. You will lead the standardization of data management processes by ensuring consistency and best practices. You will be responsible for analyzing the data, producing trends and lead troubleshooting initiatives. You will also be responsible for providing the data required for all internal and external reporting of the initiatives that he/she undertakes. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Lead and manage various data management processes for Nunavut sites and ensure support to users, provide technical inputs/outputs and troubleshooting;
- Ensure continuous business support related to data integrity;
- Liaise with software provider to ensure databases are running and updated consistently;
- Provide and develop required trending and data interpretation templates ;
- Assist and participate in various business processes, by providing applicable data;
- Ensure data management inputs are available for internal and external reports;
- Ensure trending reports are available and meet different operational needs;
- Participate on monthly, quarterly and Annual Report organization, writing and review by providing necessary information;
- Assist in planning of field programs with regards to data collection and management;
- Participate in reporting for Regulators by ensuring any required information is readily available.
What You Need To Succeed
- College Diploma in a relevant field;
- 3-4 years of work experience in a similar role;
- Knowledge of mining processes;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
- General familiarity with data manipulation, such as reporting, modeling and querying databases
- Good knowledge of reporting tools such as PowerBI, etc;
- Knowledge in SQL queries.
Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A combination of teleworking with presence at our offices in either Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Mirabel, QC. Occasional visits to site may also be required to do in person troubleshooting, training, and meet with site departments as needed.
