Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will be responsible for the development, integration, optimization, and execution of mine production schedules across all planning horizons. This role ensures alignment between long-term plans, mid-range execution, and short-term operational delivery while maintaining compliance with strategic guidance, budget targets, and mine design. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize weekly and 3-month execution plans;
- Develop and maintain rolling 12-month and 18-month production plans;
- Produce the Life of Mine (LOM) schedule aligned with MRMR updates;
- Lead annual MRMR scheduling deliverables including schedule creation and validation;
- Approve and assist with plans for all mine designs and planned production, ensuring delivery within approved guidance;
- Actively review schedules to ensure production, development, and sequencing targets are being met;
- Identify and implement opportunities for schedule optimization and planning improvements;
- Track and analyze cycle times, productivity metrics, and schedule adherence;
- Provide data, insights, and trend analysis to support long-term planning;
- Support development of annual budget physicals and cost forecasts;
- Compare planned versus actual performance and identify drivers of variance;
- Work closely with Mine Dispatch to ensure weekly and daily schedules are followed;
- Guide dispatch prioritization, sequencing decisions, and troubleshooting of execution constraints;
- Implement schedule changes as required to maintain production targets;
- Collaborate with Mine Operations leadership to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable;
- Develop integrated plans with Maintenance and other departments to minimize conflicts and downtime.
What You Need To Succeed
- Degree in Mining Engineering or a related technical discipline;
- Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) preferred or working toward;
- 6–10 years of underground mining experience with exposure to production scheduling and execution planning;
- Proficiency in mine scheduling tools (e.g., Deswik);
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills;
- Ability to influence operational execution and make timely, data-driven decisions.

- Schedule: 5/2 or 4/3 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
