Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Underground Mine Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Operate different construction and mining equipment, such as Jackleg, stoper, shotcrete machines, concrete truck, zoom boom and scissor lift;
- Operate different high pressure grout pumps to cement water inflows;
- Assist the construction and production teams in their tasks, such as building forms and foundations, pouring concrete floors, laying subflooring and erecting walls and roof systems such as Bulkhead;
- Assist the production team in their tasks, preparation stopes for solo and mucking, tensions cable and drill services, assist the pipe crew and the long hole blasters in their regular tasks;
- Deliver cement slurry for the cemented rock filling (CRF);
- Prepare and maintain records for construction materials.
What You Need To Succeed
- High School Diploma;
- Experience on MacLean Scissor lifts;
- Experience on scoop, zoom boom, boom truck and 30 tons truck (Cat AD 30) is considered an asset;
- Experience on jack leg, stoper and shotcrete machine;
- NAC Certification or DEP in Mineral Extraction, or equivalent;
- Mining Modules or Common Core is considered an asset;
- Valid approval letter under the explosives regulations or equivalent, such as an explosive permit.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
