Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Human Resources, General Supervisor, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Establish and maintain collaborative, credible and trusting relationships and partnerships with individuals across the organization to demonstrate the value of HR as a consistent, knowledgeable and trusted resource;
- Lead and manage complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations, including allegations related to conduct, harassment, performance, policy breaches, and other sensitive or high‑risk issues, ensuring objective, thorough, and defensible outcomes;
- Provide expert guidance and coaching to leaders and internal partners on employee relations strategy, risk mitigation, progressive discipline, and appropriate resolution paths;
- Handle escalated performance and productivity issues of a complex or sensitive nature and work with internal partners and leaders to remove obstacles and drive resolution;
- Provide HR direction and advisory support to operating and support departments on the interpretation and application of policies, procedures and applicable employment legislation;
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Total Rewards, Health & Safety, Legal, Payroll) to ensure consistent and compliant application of HR programs and practices;
- Assist in process improvement and streamlining HR practices to expedite results;
- Work collaboratively with Impact Benefit Agreement partners to foster positive working relationships and support employment commitments;
- Participate in annual HR cycles, site initiatives, and special projects as required.
What You Need To Succeed
- Degree or Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration or related discipline;
- Certified Human Resources Professional or Leader designation is an asset;
- Minimum of eight years progressive HR experience in a senior or business -partner capacity, preferably within an industrial or mining environment, with experience in disability management and employee relations;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP (SAP) software;
- Proven commitment to health, safety and the environment;
- Customer service focus with high level of integrity and accountability;
- Demonstrated ability to influence and advise business leaders at multiple levels;
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication and presentation skills;
- Experience working within cross-cultural and community focused environment.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada
