Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Health & Safety Supervisor, you will be part of the Health & Safety Department. You will be responsible for the administration of documentation relative to the Health, Safety & Training programs for the Detour Lake Mine, including ensuring accurate organizational filing of the various documents associated with those programs. You will also be familiar with Health, Safety and Training programs, their terminology and application and familiar with SAP, Success Factors and other supportive data base applications such as the suite of Microsoft Office applications. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Work under limited supervision, performing a variety of administrative duties, requiring knowledge of department policies and procedures;
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and employees, schedule appointments, meetings, event planning and coordination as necessary;
- Coordinate with divisional trainers, business partners, and internal employees to schedule training sessions;
- Coordinate and communicate training program next steps to new hires, incoming employees and contractors reporting to Detour Lake Mine site;
- Assist departments with line of progression development and formatting;
- Scanning and filing with advanced knowledge of storage systems to maintain and update files, training records, and publications as necessary for both internal and external personnel;
- Assist with document control implementation, document updates to comply with the document control procedure, maintenance, and continuous improvement;
- Support and train respective personnel on training systems, training record management, document control center, and Learning Management System (LMS) Skill Mine utilization and accordance;
- Compile and prepare data for training statistics, reports, and presentations;
- Monitor, respond and/or circulate mail, records, and publications as appropriate;
- Compose correspondence, edit documents, and transcribe meeting minutes as necessary;
- Maintain office supplies, order, and generate requisitions as required;
- Perform copying, collating, binding, packaging, etc., and disseminate routine and other documents as requested by department personnel including mail/messenger/meeting preparations;
- Effective time management, trouble shooting and problem solving for assignments and project coordination as requested;
- Interact with small groups and effectively express ideas;
- Continuously collaborate with site subject matter experts to gain knowledge and understanding of health safety and training processes and system;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Need To Succeed
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or related program;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in health and safety, HR or training administration in a mining or industrial environment;
- Minimum 3 years’ Learning Management System administration experience with SAP SuccessFactors being preferred;
- Experience with data entry and generating reports through HR or Training Information Systems, with SAP SuccessFactors being preferred;
- Excellent front line, professional environment customer service skills with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders required;
- Ability to critically think and troubleshoot system and software issues on behalf of users.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Visio) Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP required;
- Strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines;
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Effective time management to organize and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast-paced, demanding environment required;
- Safety conscious and a commitment to the Internal Responsibility System;
- Trustworthy with a keen sense of ethics and discretion;
- Experience working at a mining or industrial operation is an asset.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
