Supervisor – Camps within the Business Services Section of the Supply and Business Department.
About The Role
Reporting to the Superintendent- Camps, the incumbent will be responsible for the full delivery of accommodation services as well as supervision of contractors to ensure compliance in the delivery of catering, Janitorial and related services to all eligible residents of Porgera camp facilities. This position includes the supervision of staff, collation of data and presentation of reports relevant to effective Camp management.
In This Role, You Will
- Supervise daily Camps employee performances.
- Ensure all camp facilities (accommodation, kitchen/mess, recreational areas) are operational and well maintained.
- Manage /check all BS contractor invoices and ensure timely /efficient turnaround of invoices.
- Provide back-up to Camps Superintendent as required.
- Deliver an ongoing level of customer service that will meet or exceed expectations in all dealings with internal and external customers.
- Use the In-flight software system for the management of all accommodation allocation, data and reports.
- Use the SAP software system to submit work requests for any maintenance issues.
- Ability to carry out scheduled inspections at the Camp Mess/s and report the findings.
- Maintain stock control and inventory of all Camp items and order as necessary.
- Maintain and update Paiam /Suyan Housing data.
- Conduct Housing/Camp Accommodation inspection for maintenance requirements.
- Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the NPL Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all safety rules and procedures.
About You
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experiences:
- Degree in Business Management, Tourism & Hospitality or relevant. College Certificate in relevant field will be preferred .
- Ability to work unsupervised with a high level of supervisory skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Catering and/or Camp Services.
- Ability to work to critical deadlines and experience in cost management.
- Advantage to have experience in use of Inflight / SAP softw
are systems or similar for the management of accommodation data and reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
Mobilization Requirement
This is a PNG National position, a site-based role on a FIFO arrangement with a rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening (to be arranged only for successful candidates after the interview stage), and provide an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months). Candidates must be PNG Nationals and available to start immediately. Females are encouraged to apply.
