2Q profit slips at Yamana due to escalating costs

Canadian precious metal miner, Yamana Gold (TSX:YRI), saw its profits slip 80% in the second quarter compared to a year ago. The company had net earnings of $42,913 compared with $194,681 in 2011. Rising equipment and fuel costs were to blame....
