While China is one of the world’s largest economies, its rapid ascent reveals some glaring differences between mature economies.

The infographic by Visualinfo shows that China’s primary sector economy—that is agriculture, mining and farming—is a far larger part of the economy compared to the US and Japan.

China’s growth has been export led, that is shipping stuff to the rest of the world. But without a strong and advanced domestic market like the US, China will be more vulnerable to global financial shocks.
