Glencore’s Lomas Bayas mine operating as usual as waste yard fire weakens

Mining operations at Glencore’s Lomas Bayas copper mine in Chile are continuing as usual as emergency teams work to put out a fire which broke out in a waste yard, the unit said on Wednesday.
The fire, which started around midday on Tuesday, has weakened in recent hours and remains contained to the area, Lomas Bayas said in a statement.
