Northern Manitoba nickel mine could re-open by April
Crowflight Minerals has made an out of court settlement for $7.1 million, thus paving the way for a re-opening of Bucko Lake mine by early April, The Winnipeg Free Press reported today:
Crowflight Minerals Inc. is expecting to announce plans to reopen production at the Bucko Lake nickel mine in Wabowden as early as next week.
Derek Liu, Vancouver-based Crowflight’s chief financial officer, said Thursday the company’s board will be asked to approve the plan at a meeting next week.
Activity at the mine, south of Thompson, could heat up by early April.
