VIDEO: Hydraulic shovel made from syringes goes viral

A 24-year-old operating a hydraulic shovel out of syringes has gone viral.

The YouTube video, with a lot of spin offs, has over 300,000 views. On Reddit the video has 626 likes.

Brazillian publication G1 (in Portuguese) says Wesley Pereira de Souza built the prototype excavator out of syringes and wood. He is now inspired to become a mechanical engineer.

“My teacher encouraged me and I decided to make it. Only, I did not expect the impact,” says de Souza.
