Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Senior Mine Planner, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Placement within ventilation, surveying, planning or ground control departments;
- Perform duties of a surveyor, mine planner, ground control tech and/or vent tech as per each job description;
- Visit underground on a regular basis to perform duties;
- Strong focus on safety;
- Other duties and projects as assigned;
- Potential for rotation within department depending on length of co-op term.
What You Need To Succeed
- Currently working towards a Geological or Mining engineering degree or technical college diploma
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint Currently working towards a Geological or Mining engineering degree or technical college diploma

- Entry level position- set experience time not a pre-requisite;
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliable and self-managing;
- Good verbal and written communication, organizational and presentation skills;
- Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment;
- Working knowledge of mine design software is an asset (AutoCAD, Promine, Deswik).
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 4/3 (10hr/day) or 7/7 (11hr/day) schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
