One million dollar diamond to be auctioned in Vancouver
An emerald cut diamond valued between $900,000 and $1 million is set to be auctioned in Vancouver on Sunday at the Sutton Place Hotel.
The diamond weighs 28.72 carats.
Kashif Khan, managing director for Ritchies Auctioneers, told the Vancouver Sun that gems over 20 carats are rarely appear in a public sale.
He said the emerald cut is unusual for a stone of this type since it makes it more difficult to hide imperfections.
Auction will be held Sunday at the Sutton Place Hotel starting at 2 p.m. Viewing is available from 11 a.m. up until the auction starts.
Ritchies Auctioneers is a Canadian auction house dealing in art, antiques and jewelry.

BC Mancations
In general, men are creatures of the last minute. Plans are an anathema to us. That’s why mancations always include plenty of time for guys to do whatever sounds like fun at the moment. So your adventure vacation is going to offer a few firsts – things you’d never ordinarily do that you’ll remember for a long time to come.
