Gold and silver may be volatile, but the bigger shift could be happening beneath the surface

As bullion swings on macro headlines and sharp futures-driven selloffs, veteran commodities trader Vince Lanci says the real story is structural. He points to gold’s remonetization after the Ukraine sanctions, tightening silver supply, and a shift in how Wall Street treats mining stocks.

In an interview with MINING.COM, the founder of the GoldFix newsletter also explains why futures volatility no longer undermines the bullish case. He says silver’s price moves are becoming increasingly mechanical. And after years focused mainly on physical metals, he’s now building positions in mining equities, including junior silver miners.
