Steel buyers demand huge discounts from Russian producers
The country’s producers have seen their options dwindle as sanctions choke sales to the key European market.
Kazakh uranium miner Kazatomprom said on Friday that CEO Galymzhan Pirmatov would step down effective Sept. 2 “to pursue another opportunity”.
Mazhit Sharipov, who is currently Kazatomprom’s chief nuclear fuel cycle officer, will be appointed as acting CEO, the London-listed company said in a statement.
