TransCanada Energy East pipeline project to create 120 jobs in Quebec
The company behind the proposed Energy East pipeline has signed a deal with a power equipment manufacturer and says the decision will create up to 120 jobs in Quebec.
TransCanada says ABB Canada will make at least 22 electrical houses — or e-houses — at a new production facility in the Montreal region.
The agreement with ABB Canada — a division of ABB Group in Switzerland — is expected to create another 90 spin-off jobs outside of the Montreal area.
