US to sign MOU with Brazilian state of Goias on critical minerals, rare earths

The US government is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Brazilian state of Goias to strengthen cooperation in critical minerals and rare earths, the US Consulate in Sao Paulo said on Monday.
The agreement, which will be signed on Wednesday, seeks to promote research and partnerships between government bodies and the private sector, and to support the development of processing and manufacturing of the minerals in Goias, the statement said.
