Can four-year degrees coincide with budget cuts?

While budget-cutting and expanding degree programs seem to be at odds, Eastern Arizona College President Mark Bryce believes both can be accomplished in Graham County. Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer recommends slashing the state funding of community colleges by more than 50 percent, but her policy agenda shows she favors allowing four-year degree programs at those colleges, including the Eastern Arizona College.
