Report shows long-term benefits of gold mining to developing economies

The first ever study analysing the long term benefits of gold mining over the entire lifecycle of mines has been completed. Gold has provided significant improvement to Tanzania’s economy, with major contributions still to come . Government reforms of mining law have been found to be the common denominator in mining’s contribution to positive economic development. (more…)
