Yukon hosts one of the premier silver-producing districts in the world: Alexco
The Flame & Moth deposit is Alexco Resource‘s new discovery in the Keno Hill District, an area that the company’s CEO Clynton Nauman calls “one of the premier silver-producing districts in the world.”
Interviewed by The Northern Miner‘s Matthew Keevil in August 2016 during the Yukon Mining Alliance tour, Neuman talked about the historical silver resource at the site.
“Beneath us, there’s 1.5 million tonnes of mineralized material, above 500 grams per tonne,” he says.
Among those plans is also developing the drilling program at the Bermingham deposit, whose initial resource estimate totals nearly 4 million ounces of silver in the indicated resource category and more than 1 million ounces of silver in the inferred resource category.
