De Beers reshuffles executive committee

De Beers, the world’s largest rough diamond producer by value, is making some changes to its executive committee, which will see it bringing in Alessandra Berridge from parent company Anglo American (LON:AAL).
Effective February 1, Neil Ventura, currently executive vice-president, auction sales, will become executive vice-president, strategy and innovation. While Paul Rowley, presently executive vice-president, global sightholder sales, will become executive vice-president, diamond trading.
The diamond giant will appoint Berridge, now the lead legal counsel for M&A at Anglo American, as the company’s executive vice-president, commercial and partnerships. The new role was created to manage commercial ventures and partnerships, including joint ventures with the governments of Namibia and Botswana.
