New South Wales gets new resources minister
Anthony Roberts has been sworn in as Resources, Energy and Special Minister of State in New South Wales (NSW), Australia after Chris Hartcher resigned as a result of a corruption investigation.
NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell says he won’t pursue a major cabinet reshuffle ahead of the next election and will stick with the team that he’s got now.
“It is a good team,” he said. “It is a team that will work hard for the people of this state.”
Farrell added that if Mr. Hartcher’s name is cleared after the investigation, he would welcome him back into the fold.
“There would be no shadow over Mr Hartcher,” said the premier.
