BC Premier announces relief for battered mining sector
BC Premier Christy Clark
The Premier of British Columbia, Christy Clark, has announced at a mining conference underway in Vancouver, that work is underway on plans so mines can defer power costs until commodity prices bounce back.
She also says the mining tax credit will be extended.
At the same time, Clark says BC is still leading in economic growth and is confident that demand for copper will grow.
