USA Rare Earth CEO: America’s dependence on China is unsustainable

China has tightened its grip on critical minerals by imposing new export restrictions on rare earth elements in response to U.S. tariffs.

A month after merging with Inflection Point and going public, USA Rare Earth CEO Joshua Ballard warns that America’s dependence on China is no longer sustainable.

In this interview with MINING.com host Devan Murugan, Ballard outlines how a rare earth deposit in Texas and a new magnet plant in Oklahoma could serve as the foundation for a secure domestic rare earth supply chain.
