Africa mining stumbles, raising fears of job loss chaos

The Congolese government has urged Glencore to “respect its commitments” to the project and resume production.Glencores Mopani mine in Zambia is the largest employer in the countrys mining sector, with a workforce of 10,000.Copper is the biggest foreign currency earner for Zambia, where the local kwacha has been in free fall.
