Chile is expected to produce about 275,000 metric tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) this year and 285,000 metric tons in 2025, the country’s copper commission Cochilco said in a report on Tuesday.
The global market is forecast to post a surplus of 117,000 tons of lithium this year and 191,000 tons in the next, Cochilco also said in the report.
