Favourable weather helps Kazakhmys post solid results

Kazakhmys plc said it was on track to meet full-year production guidance after copper cathode production reached 73,000t for the March quarter – an 11% rise on the same time last year.

The increase was attributed to improved weather conditions after copper cathode production in the March quarter 2012 was impacted by severe weather, as well as repairs at its Balkhash smelter in central Kazakhstan…
