Rio Tinto donates C$400,000 to domestic violence prevention in Canada
Funds to be distributed among 15 organisations that provide essential services to individuals affected by domestic and family violence.
Miner Iamgold said on Friday a person was found unconscious near the camp accommodation complex at its Cote gold project in Ontario and couldn’t be resuscitated.
The person, who was employed by a contractor at the project, was not engaged in mining or construction activities, according to Iamgold.
Authorities were investigating the cause of death, the company said.
