Mineral Resources names Malcolm Bundey as next chair

Australian lithium miner Mineral Resources said on Monday that Malcolm Bundey will take over as its non-executive chair, replacing outgoing chair James McClements.
Bundey will join MinRes as a non-executive director immediately and assume the chair role in July, when longtime board leader McClements steps down after a decade.
His appointment comes amid a major governance shake-up at MinRes, as the company tries to rebuild its reputation following scandals tied to its founder and managing director Chris Ellison and a string of board departures.
Bundey is currently deputy chair of Brickworks Limited, a building products, property and investment firm, and has been on its board since 2019.
“The work to appoint additional non-executive directors has begun,” MinRes said in a statement, adding that Bundey would play a key role in the recruitment process and the ultimate board constitution.
